
Problem
Popular game developer and distributor Nintendo has a history of bright, colorful, and whimsical design choices. Despite this, their 2023 Annual Report is nothing but plain blocks of text, lacking their usual attention to detail. Any effort made in redesigning the report is complicated by the lack of access to an official Nintendo branding standards guide.
Solution
The redesigned Nintendo Annual Report for the fiscal year of 2023 injects life into the original text, highlighting certain sections using illustrations, pull-quotes, icons, and unique formatting. Nintendo games are fun for all ages, so I focused on creating a visually pleasing experience guaranteed to delight both shareholders and newcomers.
